We live in a world that is constantly bombarding us with half-truths: “find yourself,” “live your truth,” “you can be anything you want to be!”
But are these messages really real? And how can we know for sure?
The answer, of course, is to dig into God’s Word so that we may grow to know Him and love Him. And as we learn more about who He is and what He has done for us, we discover who we really are… because of Jesus. What we see in Scripture is that our identity is not rooted not in what we look like, what we do, or the things we say. Our identity is rooted firmly in the person of Jesus and what he accomplished on the cross. When we look to Jesus for our sense of identity and purpose, we can live confidently because He never changes.
