But resolutions are often disappointments. I have a vision but no map. That’s why the monthly review is a must-have in a planner because it starts mapping my goals into bit size chunks. What will it mean to take my goal and implement it this month? But it also makes me check in and review what is going well and what is not going well, so that I can make the necessary changes. A monthly review keeps a close eye on my goals.

Free Weekly Space

Free weekly space is a must-have in every planner. Space to morph my month goals into bite size action plans. What is one specific action plan I can sketch out across my week? Does it slot into a to do list or an appointment? Is it an idea I want to flesh out or a person to call?  A planner must have space for you to get down to the nitty gritty.
