Are you in a season of goal setting? If so, do yourself a favor and invest in a fantastic planner.
These are my 3 must-haves in a planner that help me keep my goals.
1 of 3 Must-Haves in a Planner is Goal Setting for the Year
Every year we dream of how the year could be better. The iBloom planner allows me set my goals, but always in review of the year before. It gives me a reality check and then pushes me to plan my year according to what is true in my life! Yearly goal setting is a 1 of 3 must-haves in a planner. As Benjamin Franklin says:
“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.”
I Must-Have a Monthly Review in my Planner to Keep my Goals
But resolutions are often disappointments. I have a vision but no map. That’s why the monthly review is a must-have in a planner because it starts mapping my goals into bit size chunks. What will it mean to take my goal and implement it this month? But it also makes me check in and review what is going well and what is not going well, so that I can make the necessary changes. A monthly review keeps a close eye on my goals.
Free Weekly Space
Free weekly space is a must-have in every planner. Space to morph my month goals into bite size action plans. What is one specific action plan I can sketch out across my week? Does it slot into a to do list or an appointment? Is it an idea I want to flesh out or a person to call? A planner must have space for you to get down to the nitty gritty.
